Come & Get it, Justin Bieber!

I know we might seem like we are Selena Gomez’s number one fans with all the post about her but is it our fault that she’s awesome? No! Anyways, her new single “Come & Get it” “leaked” today and let me tell you about how many levels of awesomeness it is. No, seriously, let me  tell you because this is a review of it.

Selena told us in about her new music earlier in the year and it finally happened. According to basically every source and Selena herself, it was “leaked” today. I’m calling bs on that because her single has been pretty much hyped up since Spring Breakers came out (BTW it was bad) and after she leaked the lyrics on her official site, the single ” just happened to leak in the same week and two days before it was going to be released”. Look Selena, you might be the Russo Family wizard but you aren’t fooling anyone (not that I’m bitter about the single leaking).

The Song

Oh-My-Gosh! Let’s first talk about the chorus of this song. It’s might be simple but damn, it’s catchy. It’s something that makes you want to dance like no one is watching.

When Seleners first teased us with the a preview, I was a tad scared that this was going to be as bad and disappointing as Spring Breakers but I was wrong. The song is pretty much the best song she has ever released (sorry, but it’s better than “Hit the Lights” and “Love You Like A Love Song”). She should have kicked the scene to the curb sooner because they were obviously just holding her back. Now, it’s obviously the song is a poke at Justin Bieber no matter what anyone says. The way that the lyrics are written only supports this logic. If she didn’t want people to think this then she should haven’t had the lyrics come off like that.

Now what doesn’t work for this song: Sadly, it’s the Bollywood vibe that she tried to add to it. It’s honestly not adding anything to the song itself. If you were to remove it from the songs, it would still be a kick ass song. The Bollywood vibe just feels like it’s just there for kicks.

Would I recommend this song?: Yes, I do! And I even bought the song on iTunes when it came out!

Rating: 4.5 Bottles of Justin Bieber’s tears out of 5
