Lea Michele releases ‘Anything’s Possible’

While it’s not the official second single, Lea Michele decides to release “Anything’s Possible” as a pre-order bonus for her second album “Places.”

“Anything’s Possible” is a return to what her first album “Louder” was. It’s poppy with an infectious beat and melody that will have you grooving. The only thing different about it is that it’s more of a fight song than just a normal pop song. The lyrics are well written and have well thought out meaning to them. According to Lea, the song itself has been her own fight song:

This is a song about having faith through whatever life brings your way. To always believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that anything is truly possible. It’s about leaving the negativity and the past behind and moving forward with confidence and strength.”

The song is really good and shows that “Places” will be a more personal album than her first one, which was supposed to be a personal album as well. It also shows that it will be a combination of different styles of music, which will either be a good thing or a bad thing. “Love is Alive” was more of a piano ballad that felt like it was geared towards her broadway roots. “Anything’s Possible”  is hardcore pop. I would consider it the sister song to “Cannonball.”

Her vocals on the song are amazing. Say what you want about Lea Michele but her vocals are unreal. The power that she has and they way she uses them. They can leave you speechless. They are freaking amazing on this song. The last run through before the end get a tad bit hairy with it sounding like she’s too much for the microphone or she’s putting so much into the vocals, it’s straining her voice. Oh, she’s also not over pronouncing either like she did in “Cannonball.”

Overall, the song is great and it’s amazing to hear her return to pop music. “Places” will be out on April 28th.

Here’s the song for your ears to enjoys:
