Time to start a new
It’s a new year and this is the time for a fresh start. Most people just laugh off at New Year’s resolutions because “they are never going to follow through with it.” We are going to have a real talk about why you really should be doing New Year’s resolutions.
Why should you be doing New Year’s resolutions?
If you don’t what a New Year’s resolution is, here’s the definition. You also may want to get out more:
A tradition, in which, a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to carry out a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.
By doing one of these, you are just making a simple goal. It’s just going to be a little easier to do it because you can look at it as a fresh start. It’s sometimes easier to look at goal when it’s a brand new plate in front of you. Think of it like a forgetting about the past year and focusing on the fact that there’s a brand new year. All the bad is in the past now, there’s nothing really holding you back from living everything to the fullest in the new year. Why dread on something that was last year when you can focus on all the stuff that could be amazing in the new year? While you should be making and setting goals throughout the entire year, setting them at the start of the year just makes it seem more reachable and better.
What kind of New Year’s resolutions should I make?
I’m not going to tell you what the hell to make your resolutions. The majority of the time it’s stuff like “I want to lose weight and eat healthier.” That is fine but is that something you really want to make your resolution? If that’s something that you really want to do, then go for it. You want to make your resolution something you want to do to better your life or just you in general.
There’s plenty of resolutions you can make that will better your life or you. If you haven’t made one yet, don’t worry. There’s still plenty of time to make one that best fit you. I would also recommend making it and letting a friend know. You guys can help each other out and make sure you both are sticking fully with that you set out to do this year. Especially do this if you are looking to work out more or eat healthier. That’s always better to do with someone else.
Also, make sure you are doing it for yourself and not for anyone else. You should be wanting to change for yourself for others. Change yourself because you want to change. You’re going to be more willingly to finish your resolution if it’s something you want to do. Hopefully this will help you get started with your New Year’s resolution. Set a little one and see if you are able to do it. It will make your year if you actually are able to do.
