It’s time to countdown to the first “But First” of the year!
While it’s not the summer of secrets just yet, we are getting a special treat with our first American version of the popular “Celebrity Big Brother.” It’s popular overseas and it’s honestly about damn time that we got our own. It’s just an abridged version of the real game of “Big Brother.” Instead of it being three months long, “Celebrity Big Brother” will be around a few weeks. It starts on February 7th and will last until February 25th. So it’s going to be like we are watching “Big Brother” on speed.
Last night at the Grammy’s, we found out who our celebrities would be and we all tilted our heads and when “Who is they?” I’m here to help break down who these people are. Here’s how it will work: I’ll give you a brief rundown on how they get the title of “celebrity.” Let’s get this out-of-the-way: YOU AREN’T GOING TO HAVE FAMOUS PEOPLE THAT ARE HOUSEHOLD NAMES. It’s what happens throughout all the “Celebrity Big Brother” series. Get over it and deal with this cast. So without further ado, here’s the celebrities that will be entering the Big Brother house:
Meet the Houseguests
Ariadna Gutiérrez– Ariadna is Miss Colombia 2014. She’s also the woman who Steve Harvey fucked over during the Miss Universe. She was told she won but she really didn’t. She was just runner-up. She’s also an “actress.”
Brandi Glanville- Brandi is a real housewife. She’s from the Beverly Hills show. She’s the only houseguest that has previously competed in a “Celebrity Big Brother” series. She placed 11th in the 20th installment UK series. Too bad that won’t help her because it’s too different games.
Chuck Liddell– Chuck “The Iceman” Lidell is a retired Mixed Martial Arts fighter that competed in the UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship. He’s a UFC Hall of Famer and a former Light Heavyweight Championship.
James Maslow- James is former teen star on Nickelodeon. He was the one with the hair and abs on “Big Time Rush.” He also is a singer and actor. He placed on 4th on “Dancing with the Stars.” He’s going to be the eye candy of the season.
Keshia Knight Pulliam– Keshia is Rudy Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” back in the 1980s and early 1990s. She’s the one Raven replaced when she became less adorable and older.
Marissa Jaret Winokur- Marissa is a broadway star who was the original Tracy Turnbald in “Hairspray” on Broadway. Like James, she placed 4th on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Mark McGrath- I would tell you that he’s the lead singer of the “rock band” Sugar Ray but that would lead to more confusion. Mark was the co-host of “Extra” in the early 2000s.
Metta World Peace- Metta World Peace is a retired basketball player. He was also on “Dancing with the Stars” but placed 12th. I feel like they just looked at who was on “Dancing with the Stars” and just pulled them. Ugh.
Omarosa Manigault- You know who Omarosa is. She was the bitch on Donald Trump’s show “The Apprientice.” She placed 6th and then 10th. She was just recently Trump’s director of communications before she resigned in January 2018.
Ross Mathews- Ross is a TV host/correspondent. That’s pretty much it.
Shannon Elizabeth- Shannon was in “American Pie.” She was the foreign exchange student that Jim tried to sleep with. She also placed 6th on “Dancing with the Stars.”
That’s the cast! Yeah, hopefully it’s better than how it looks on paper. I think if done right, it would be rather good. But it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
“Celebrity Big Brother” premieres on Wednesday, February 7th at 8 p.m. on CBS.
