You can never have too many social media apps they said
It’s been awhile since we talked about the different apps that are popping up out of nowhere. I thought it was time to bring this back in order to know what the hell we are getting ourselves into if we were to sign up for it. There’s a new social media on the street and it’s called “Vero.” Yep, it’s just another app to become addicted to.
What is Vero?
Vero calls itself “an ad-free social network that let’s you be yourself.” It launched in 2015, and it’s like Instagram to a certain degree. You can post photos, text, and share URLS, which is links to site for the people that don’t know. You can also recommend books, TV shows, and movies. All the connections that you make on the app, you can actually set how you know them. You can set it to close friends, friends, follower, or acquaintances. Based on what you list them as, you can choose what post they can see and what post they can see. It’s pretty much like Instagram but seems less broke. Instagram recently has just been one big hot mess.
Vero is just one of the many apps that have tried to reach out to the users that have are over the shit that they have got on all the other social media apps. There just really haven’t been anything keeping those apps there due to either not being able to keep the attention of the users like everything else.
If you are looking to try this app, be one of the first million to get it because it seems that you will have to pay for it. Yep, there’s going to be an annual subscription fee. sigh. There’s also a lot of stuff going around that in their terms there is a section that let’s them use or sell your content that is posted to the app. You also won’t get any for your trouble either since it will royalty-free.
Is it worth it?
Overall, it doesn’t seem like a bad app. I would look more into before you jump into the trend of downloading because your pissed off at Instagram. The part that is a turn off for me is that it’s all royalty-free content selling or use. Vero is available in the app store for iOS and Android users. If you are a window phone user, drop that phone and get a real one.
