This week’s #FeaturedFriday Artist is Jennifer Lopez, the girl that makes all other singers and actress look like they are trying hard enough.
Breaking into our mainstream world portraying the late tejano music goddess Selena, J-Lo is a triple threat as she is a Singer, Dancer, and Actress. She has starred in movies “The Wedding Planner,” “Jersey Girl,” “Anaconda,” and “Maid in Manhattan.” She has nine top hit singles and 3 multi-platinum albums. J-Lo can pretty much do it all, and she still looks like that girl dated Ben Affleck back in the day. She just keeps getting better with age.
Now also a mom, Jennifer Lopez seems to be still Jenny from the Block as she just released her latest single “Ain’t Your Mama.”

In honor of her newest musical adventure, Kesha is this week’s #FeaturedFriday Artist. Kesha is an amazing artist no matter if she spells her name with a $ or not.
She came onto the musical scene in 2005 as a background singer, writer, and producer for other artist. It wasn’t until 2009 when she was featured on Flo Rida’s “Right Round” that she started to shine. It was the same her where her debut album “Animal” and spawned many hit singles of it.
While her second album “Warrior,” wasn’t as much as a commercial success as “Animal.” It spawned Top 40 hits. It was here where her career took a halt as she got into very publicized legal battles that halted her releasing music.
Kesha never changed who she is and showed the world how awesome they can be if they just be themselves.
In honor of them being our #FeaturedFriday Artist, I’m bringing you a special Top 5ive of Steps! Instead of featuring their songs, I’ll be showcasing videos for them whether that be the real Music Video or them performing the songs that make up the Top 5ive. Without further ado, here is the Top 5ive of Steps! (note: the audio/video isn’t 4k. It was taken from the late 90’s-early 00’s. Get over it)
Their first single, “5,6,7,8,” isn’t in the style of what their music would turn out to be. It’s pretty much a line dance that took the UK and the world by storm. It’s a rather catchy line dance with a dance to pick up than most of the American artist songs with a dance.
“Tragedy” is their biggest hit as their take on the famous Bee Gee’s song. The song is what made them a household name and had everyone making a touchdown motion around their head… as well as their friends saving them from their wedding and having a huge dance party after it.
3. Here and Now
This song and music video just scream early 00’s music. Plain and simple. It’s also catchy, like most of the music.
2. One for Sorrow
The song was their début to the States in all of their Tommy Hilfiger goodness, remember it was the late 90s, that was a big deal to wear. It was their ode to a broken heart. Claire is the lead vocals on the song and it’s amazing vocals, especially on the non-remix version.
1. Deeper Shade of Blue
This actually a favorite of mine. It’s just different lyric wise from the stuff they did at the start. It’s just a great version of the song.
In order to make it in the entertainment industry, you have to be a triple threat: singer, dancer, and actor. Kat Graham a household name due to her major role in The CW’s hit vampire series “The Vampire Diaries,” but the actress has been making waves in recent years for her music career.
While she has performed for years, it wasn’t until the spring 2012 when her single “Put Your Graffiti on Me” became a runaway hits due to its catchy chorus and beat. She then capitalized on the success by releasing her first Extended Play, known in the music business as an “EP”, entitled “Against the Wall” which garnered her more success and fame. It wasn’t until she released her latest single “Power” that it showed the world that Kat Graham is here to stay.
Take a listen to her sassy self in the songs that will surely rock your world and put you under Kat Graham’s spell:
