5SOS is Hungry like the Wolf in next single

5 Seconds of Summer released their newest single “Hey Everybody” today as another teaser single for their newest album “Sounds Good Feels Good.”

Do they even release a bad single? The song features samples of Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf” and it’s was bliss at the first listen. The song is catchy and they blend the classic beats and their style so well that it should be illegal.

“Sounds Good Feels Good” is slated to be released on October 23 and boy, I cannot wait for that album to drop.

5SOS drops “Money”

5sos money

On Friday, the Australian Pop Punk band of the new broken scene, 5 Seconds of Summer, gave fans a new song to listen to off their newest album “Sounds Good Feels Good” before it’s release on October 23rd.

“Money” is the opening track off of the album and is a good way to open the album, but it definitely isn’t as strong as the other song that we’ve heard. Don’t get me wrong, it holds up to the standard 5SOS of quality.  “Money” is reminiscent of their first major hit “She Looks So Perfect” with the lyrics and the want to be with a girl.

Overall, it’s a good song and is pretty catchy. Not single worthy but still a good song.

Here’s the song for you to listen and enjoy:

Overall: 3.5 seconds out of 5

Top 5ive: Songs of the Summer

With summer almost over, it’s time list the top songs of summer 2015.  Here’s The Pop Project:with Steven Kaufman’s Top 5ive Songs of Summer 2015

5. Carly Rae Jepsen “I Really Like You”

The song is catchier than most of the song this summer. It’s one of the best songs for your summer crush. Click here for my review of it.

4. Walk the Moon “Shut Up and Dance”

The song has played and featured everywhere this summer. It’s rather catchy and good, especially from a band that didn’t get any traction until this song was released. They were pretty much the Carly Rae Jepsen of bands and “Shut Up and Dance ” is their “Call Me Maybe.”

3. Selena Gomez “Good For You”

One of the most sultry songs of the summer for when you are looking to “go all the way” and by “go all the way” I mean start dating. Yep, it’s a songs about wanting to be good for the first date.Click here for my review of it.

2. Demi Lovato “Cool For the Summer”

The song for curious summer flirtations with the same gender, or any gender for that matter. But don’t tell your mother because this song is one of the coolest songs for the summer. Click here for my review of it.

1. 5 Seconds of Summer “She’s Kinda Hot”

The summer shout out to be the being okay with yourself and not caring what others think of you. It’s rather the most surprising hit of the summer. It’s catchy and it’s kinda hot though. Click her for our review of it.

Honorable Mention: Sage the Gemini feat. Nick Jonas “Good Thing”

There’s the review for it…it explains why it’s an honorable mention

Kinda Hot EP of the Summer

Holy @%#$&! 5 Seconds of Summer has blessed the United States with an EP of their hit single “She’s Kinda Hot.” The EP is really kinda hot though (see what I did!?!).

The EP varies but features two different versions of the single “She’s Kinda Hot” and two unreleased songs, which could actually like four to five unreleased songs depending where you purchased the album.  All the songs on the EP are pretty much too legit to quit. All the songs on there are pretty much crack for your ears. It even has a song off of their new album “Sounds Good Feels Good” called “The Girl Who Cried Wolf” and it’s pretty much my new favorite thing in the history of things.  “Over and Out” would have to be my 2nd favorite song.

Like I said in the last single review I did for 5SOS, their music has been on fleet lately. Click the link to listen to the EP.
