Holy Cow! Taylor Swift released her newest music video for her single “Bad Blood.” And like all pop stars, she gets a famous rapper to spit some rhymes to add to the song. And like most songs that get free style verses added to it, it was bad. Like awkward and doesn’t really fit bad. Kendrick Lamar’s addition to an already great song doesn’t really add anything to the song. It was just kind of there. It probably would have been better if Kendrick didn’t rap…in the song.
The music video is pretty epic. It has Taylor Swift kicking ass and taking names in the video with a literally all-star cast of femmes as they do a montage to action adventures movies–in the future. Taylor’s team is getting ready to take on Selena Gomez’s team.
My only real complaint is that there was more of a plot/storyline to the video. Yes, the video is amazing. But it would be epic if there was some sort of storyline. One could argue that there is a storyline in the video but it doesn’t really explain why Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are at war. It would have been nice to get some sort of clarity on that.
Overall, it’s a very good music video for a bad single version of a song. Here’s the video for your eyes to see and go “that’s amazing!”
Rating: 3.5 deaths by Taylor Swift out of 5
Welcome to this week’s edition of “Code Blue,” our weekly recap of what happened on Grey’s Anatomy. This week’s edition will be short and sweet because we have another week of a code ehhhhh. This was the season finale and it was rather lackluster. So we are going to just reflect on it instead of going over every last detail.
Let’s start with Jackson and April. They are pretty much dead in the water at this point. Jackson doesn’t want April to go back on a tour and won’t wait for her because he doesn’t want to go through what he had to before and she doesn’t seem to get it. It’s a rather touching because he’s encouraging her to go. We will have to wait until next season to see if April says or goes away. I slightly hope they stay together but I like badass April because the old one was annoying and made me want to perform open heart surgery on myself.
Then we had Catherine and Richard fighting over rules and regulations because they aren’t used to being around someone like them. It was rather cute because they are just strong head people. I’m glad they did end up getting married and it beautiful. I’m glad they finally got happiness. I also hopes that mama Avery stays in Seattle because I find her refreshingly funny.
The biggest shock is the fact that Meredith Grey was sisterly to her stepsister and former/current sister-in-law. I think the death of Derek has made her more feely and understanding. She was really supportive of Maggie during her time in need and made amends with Amelia by letting her hear Derek’s voice one more time. See, she just not cold and dead inside.
Overall, this season finale sucked. It was actually rather boring. Especially after the what has been such a cray season. Hopefully Season 12 will be an amazing season. I’m calling Izzie Stevens for Chief of Surgery.

Welcome to this week’s “Code Blue,” actually it would rather be a code ehh because this week’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” was actually pretty bland…actually it was very anticlimactic. The saddest part was that the hype from the preview last week of Amelia vs Meredith happened at the end and only lasted probably five minutes and wasn’t anything that made me do what I call the Grey gasp. It’s that gasp where you are utterly shocked by what’s happening while being slightly upset because you’re getting overly emotional by what is happening.
They introduced the new interns and they had Dr. Webber gave “the speech” to them because he’s the new interim chief because Owen Hunt decided to leave which, was totally out of left field. The interns are pretty much boring. They are also very stupid….like more stupid that normal. Not like interns operating on each other stupid but worse.
There was an accident, I believe that a bridge collapsed on highway. Honestly, it’s not important because their is a guy in the accident that is stuck in a car because the car is impaling him in two places and Meredith was willing to tag him as dead while Amelia was wanting to think of more ways to help him. This leads to Amelia telling Meredith that she should have called her to help Derek because she could have helped (see the similarities?).
Here’s the side notes of the other things:
- Webber and Catherine Avery wedding day is going down with Jackson as a bridesmaid and Bailey as a Best Man. The surgery postpones the wedding and then an argument over a procedure (see below) causes them to seems to be on the rocks.
- Hunt wants to freeze a kid in order to save his life but Jackson and mother says it’s too risky. But the two physicians rule overturns Jackson (thanks to Karev and Webber). Spoiler: it worked.
- April and Jackson are having problems…not really sure what.
- Oh, Meredith is going to live in her old/Karev’s house because she is going to sell her house because it doesn’t feel like her home.
- Karev and Jo fight about something and I don’t remember what so I’m guessing that it’s stupid and not important
Overall, this episode was lackluster because the acting. The best part was when they played superhero like music when April is on the back of a tow truck with the guy impaled with the car. It was more kinda funny than anything. Hopefully, the season finale next week is better and more interesting. And for the love of god Shonda, please stop with the Derek clips. I get that he’s dead and you have to pay Patrick Dempsey still but it’s just stupid now.

Welcome to this week’s edition of “Code Blue,” our weekly recap of the Grey’s Anatomy episode that has causes us to go into cardiac arrest and have the need to be struck with the paddles. This week’s episode was a big one as it’s the 2-hour episode that has the funeral that no one wants, along with the carousel of pain.
The tentative title of this recap was going to be “Where in the World is Meredith Grey?” because for 95% of this episode, she goes AWOL and runs aways to grieve and to give birth to her baby girl Ellis.
This episode jumps around to cover different conflicts between the characters as Meredith is away. April goes to war with Owen to fix people up and cope with life with Jackson not understanding why, Callie finishing up her and Derek’s trial, Amelia not letting Derek’s death affect her, Alex trying to help his friend, and Bailey and her husband discussing if they want the other to pull the plug if need be. The episode was on fleek, it was true to Grey’s Anatomy fashion. The only thing I wish that they would have done more with Derek’s death. They only did like 10 minutes of his funeral. I would have liked to hear the eulogy or something like that. Especially since the episode was marked as a tribute to McDreamy.
Next week’s looks like it will be a top-notch when we finally get the showdown between Amelia and Meredith about Derek’s death.
