Why make New Year’s resolutions

Time to start a new

It’s a new year and this is the time for a fresh start. Most people just laugh off at New Year’s resolutions because “they are never going to follow through with it.” We are going to have a real talk about why you really should be doing New Year’s resolutions.

Why should you be doing New Year’s resolutions?

If you don’t what a New Year’s resolution is, here’s the definition. You also may want to get out more:

A tradition, in which, a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to carry out a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.

By doing one of these, you are just making a simple goal. It’s just going to be a little easier to do it because you can look at it as a fresh start. It’s sometimes easier to look at goal when it’s a brand new plate in front of you. Think of it like a forgetting about the past year and focusing on the fact that there’s a brand new year. All the bad is in the past now, there’s nothing really holding you back from living everything to the fullest in the new year. Why dread on something that was last year when you can focus on all the stuff that could be amazing in the new year? While you should be making and setting goals throughout the entire year, setting them at the start of the year just makes it seem more reachable and better.

What kind of New Year’s resolutions should I make?

I’m not going to tell you what the hell to make your resolutions. The majority of the time it’s stuff like “I want to lose weight and eat healthier.” That is fine but is that something you really want to make your resolution? If that’s something that you really want to do, then go for it. You want to make your resolution something you want to do to better your life or just you in general.

There’s plenty of resolutions you can make that will better your life or you. If you haven’t made one yet, don’t worry. There’s still plenty of time to make one that best fit you. I would also recommend making it and letting a friend know. You guys can help each other out and make sure you both are sticking fully with that you set out to do this year. Especially do this if you are looking to work out more or eat healthier. That’s always better to do with someone else.

Also, make sure you are doing it for yourself and not for anyone else. You should be wanting to change for yourself for others. Change yourself because you want to change. You’re going to be more willingly to finish your resolution if it’s something you want to do. Hopefully this will help you get started with your New Year’s resolution. Set a little one and see if you are able to do it. It will make your year if you actually are able to do.

Songs to bring in 2018

Music brings the people together

Yeah, yeah. I’ve used that Madonna lyric before so sue me. The point of this article is that I’m going to supply with the tunes to kick off your 2018 right. These tunes will also make people judge whether or not you are trying to relive your teen years if you are in your mid to early 20s. Either way, you’re going to have a good time. I’ve also tried to make sure that these songs came from 2017. Sorry in advance if they didn’t.

There are no rules for this playlist but rather just for you to enjoy and partake in. You don’t have to time out when to start the playlist just right before midnight. You don’t have time for that and frankly, neither do I. I put the list on Spotify because I think people still use more than the others. ¬†Here’s the playlist so you can have a good time with some bops:

Top 5 Events in 2013 that Pop’ed Our World: The Jelena Breakup

Jelena breakup

In honor of the New Year, we thought that we would count down the top 5 events that pop’ed our world. We are kicking the countdown with our number 5 event: The Jelena Breakup.

The Jelena Breakup was one of the most publicized breakups of the year, even when it potential happened in 2012. The breakup caused Selena to have one of the best years of her careers while Justin…well I’ll get to that later in this post.

The first breakup caused mass panic in the Jelenators and the Selenators fan bases while the Beliebers openly celebrated because they could have their Justin back (the Beliebers are very overprotected if you couldn’t tell). Then they got back together and then they broke up and then they got back together and then they finally broke up with Selena being the one that broke up with Justin.

After that is when their break up became a part 2013 pop culture. Selena went on to write and record “Stars Dance”, which become her first number 1 album, and went on her first world tour while releasing two movies at the same time. The album featured many song that seemed to be about her relationship with Bieber, which were really good (Sad Serenade still get us and should have been on the album).

Justin’s path after the breakup was a little different from Selena Gomez. ¬†Justin became more of a pop bad boy and started to “act out” by vandalizing buildings in brazil, peeing in buckets, and leaving poor monkeys in Germany (yes, he’s monkey is still in there). Justin’s behavior in 2013 could have easily been one of our top 3 events but we decided that would be just cray.
