Selena Gomez’s heart gets her in-trouble in the video for ‘Back to You’

Selena Gomez isn’t tired of the same old love

It officially the start of the era for Selena Gomez…again. Yesterday, the former Disney actress delivered the music video for her song off of the soundtrack for her show “13 Reasons Why.” It’s been awhile since Selena released a music video for one of her singles. The last one was for her song with marshmello called “Wolves.”

The video for “Back To You” follows suit with how she made the videos for “Bad Liar” and “Fetish.” It’s extremely artistic and tells a story that adds to the overall story that the song is telling. It’s pretty much Old Selena meeting the new classier Selena. You get the classic sound with the storytelling that has made her two videos up there with her past work.

Because it is an artistic video, it is a little too much to grasp in the first viewing. It’s going to take a while for you to soak up the tea that Seleners is spilling in this video. She is spilling soo much tea that it’s not even funny. The video is about Selena being at a party with one boy, a boy that looks like The Weeknd. She ends up sneaking off with another bad boy, who looks like Justin Bieber. The two steal a car and end have a picnic. She soon realizes that her new boy is wanted by the police and that he isn’t worth going to jail for. They end up going back to the party before doing it all over again.

The video itself isn’t bad, just leaving you wanting more. Either way, I’m all for this new Selena era. I want more from it whether it’s like “Bad Liar” and “Fetish” or this one.

Inspirational Quotes from Selena Gomez

Hit the Lights, let the music move you

I decided to do more inspirational quotes from a popular artist because no one asked for it and I wanted to do it. On this edition of “Inspirational Quotes,” I take the lyrics from Selena Gomez and turn them into things to inspire your life. We all need some inspiration.

If you are new to this then here’s what to expect: I took copyrighted lyrics and images and made something wonderful with it.  I did this all for fun and nothing hurtful nor with the intent to break any copyright laws. I’m honestly just doing this because I like to make fun of inspirational quotes and this is rather fun. While no one asked for it, I hope you enjoy these quotes from Miss Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez returns with a banger from ’13 Reasons Why’ soundtrack

Seleners gives the world another “Back to You” song

It’s been seven months since Selena Gomez has given the world any sort of music. That song was a banger with Marshmello called “Wolves.”  Now, Selena has released a pre-order track off of the soundtrack for the second season of “13 Reasons Why.”

“Back to You” is a classic Selena Gomez pop song. It’s similar to the last couple of songs she has done with Kygo, Zedd, Marshmello, and her debut solo album “Stars Dance.” It starts off with a very nice acoustic guitar melody before kicking into EDM mode with the chorus. The guitar during the entire song is everything. It adds more depth to the song that the EDM wouldn’t have given it. It makes “Back to You” more emotional.

The lyrics are about going back to a love constantly. Let’s just address the muscular and ripped Elephant in the room whose penis we have all saw. Many people believe that the song is about Justin Drew Bieber. That is right, The Jelena Saga continues. If you have lived under a rock since 2010, Selena and Justin have been more off and on than a light switch at a whorehouse. They recently got back together in November 2017 and ended in March 2018. People are thinking the song is about him just because of lyrics of the song. Oy vey. I’m over Jelena. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

“Back to You” isn’t a bad song at all. In fact, it’s a certified bop. My only complaint about it is that seems more like a step back than anything else. If you look like “Bad Liar” and “Fetish,” they are a totally different style than what we got with this song. The new style was everything but this just seemed like she wanted to go back to what made her musically.

Overall, “Back to You” is a catchy and lovely bop that is just in the wheelhouse of Selena. I just wish it was less of classic Selena and more like the Selena we got before her hiatus. I like classic Selena but I liked this new Selena better. She seemed like she gave no fucks.

summer2017

We’re Cool for the Summer

It’s almost the end of Summer and it’s time that I give you the list of the songs of what was the summer of 2017. These probably won’t surprise you but you even joyed some of these songs so much that you shouldn’t mind them again. You can tell your mother about this list because I need the promo.

Grab a drink, an umbrella, and go work on your tan. Here are Top 5ive songs of summer 2017:

5. “It Ain’t Me” by Kygo and Selena Gomez

This song has been everywhere since its release in February 2017. While it’s been out for more than a hot second, It more so took off this summer. Between the catchy lyrics and beat mixed with Selena’s vocals, this song picked up its second wind and boy, it was a well-earned second wind. Here’s my review of “It Ain’t Me.”

4. “Crying in the Club” by Camila Cabello

While I hope you weren’t crying in the club this summer, Camila Cabello’s first single literally slayed the shit out of the Fifth Harmony single “Down.” While she sounds way too much like Sia, it’s still a banger and an amazing song. It’s catchy, which you probably noticed is a quality in all of these songs. But “Crying in the Club” is just something that really shakes you to your core with the beat. Here’s my review of “Crying in the Club.”

3. “Malibu” by Miley Cyrus

Who would have thought that Miley Cyrus would put some pants on, keep her tongue in her mouth, and release a love ballad that would be the ballad of summertime love? Malibu is pretty much your song for any sort of love you have had this summer. This ballad was everything. It made you feel warm and fuzzy like the beaches of Malibu. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s the new love song for Miley and Liam. Who doesn’t love them together? Here’s my review of “Malibu.”

2. “Attention” by Charlie Puth

This song is pretty much addicting. The beat is catchy and it just something that makes you want to groove. It’s the perfect song for that summer fling that is playing you. Who knew that Charlie singing about getting played and not actually being loved would be so big? I guess brooding Charlie Puth is what the world would need in 2017. Here’s my review of “Attention.”

1. “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee

This song is literally everywhere. You cannot escape it all whether it’s the real one or the one with Justin Bieber that made the song popular, but I won’t go into how wrong that was. This song is extremely dirty and sexual. But it’s okay because you can’t understand the lyrics since it’s in Spanish. Remember that the next time you sing this song with your mother. It’s pretty much about having a sensual encounter. You’re Welcome.
